Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

OCD is a mental health condition characterised by persistent, unwanted thoughts, images, or urges (obsessions) that cause significant anxiety or distress. To reduce this distress, individuals may engage in repetitive behaviours or mental acts (compulsions), such as checking, washing, counting, seeking reassurance, or mentally reviewing events.

While these compulsions may provide temporary relief, they reinforce the OCD cycle over time. OCD can interfere with daily functioning, relationships, work, and quality of life.
